I travelled on Medview Boeing 737-400 from Lagos to Kaduna last week. Medview flight tickets are one of the most sought-after in Nigeria, possibly because it is affordable and comfortable. The finished seats tick the boxes. Since 2012, Medview Airlines commenced domestic flight operations with a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-400 aircraft and later with a Boeing 737-800 -- ensuring it can compete with the best of the best.
While the cherry on the cake is meant to be the food, Medview Airline refreshment packs contain snack, biscuit and drink. The food items are commonly accepted and instantly recognizable. Although, I think the pack should be improved on.
On arriving the airport, the Medview flight ticket for the economy class was 24,001 NGN, but in less than an hour, I had to get the ticket for 26,001. The change in price was as a result of high demand for Medview flight tickets.
The flight was meant to be at 4:45 PM, checking in, I met my ex-classmate, Olaitan, who made the evening fun for me. While waiting, I tried out a massage on Lifemate massage chair, and it was more than awesome. At 5:00 PM, we got a notification that our flight will be delayed by 55 minutes. I was disappointed, but still, we had to wait. Finally, we were on board at 7:00 PM, after waiting for over 2 hours.
Plane takeoffs and landings remain the same, but this time something strange happened. As the plane was about to take off, a lady in the first row started screaming like a woman in labour. The pilot had to stop as all the attention went to her. Now, the ACs were not working well, so members of the cabin crew had to pick up magazines and hand-fans to fan her. She probably has a flying phobia. This went on for about 30 minutes until she was calm. The plane was about to take off again, and now, the screaming doubled. The fanning session resumed again… then, there was an uproar in the plane, as it was already late and we all needed to get to our destination. To cut the long story short, she was unboarded from the plane. It was already 8:15 PM and finally, the plane took off.
We finally landed at Kaduna at 9:20 PM. The flight was safe and secure. This erased the memory of the delay and the onboard drama. Kaduna - here we come!
